The Healey School is an amazing place, with creative and dedicated students and staff, and the principal wanted to find a way to visually represent the many people who support the students every day, creating an installation that would ‘feel like a hug” when they walk into the building.  Throughout the 2019-2020 year, students, teachers and parents made a series of mandalas with different themes and different materials.  Some were made in the counseling office, some in the teachers’ lounge, others at family events and others in art class.  Although the school is closed for COVID, the completed mandalas are hung in the entryway, ready to greet students when they return to the building.  Others will be added to the collection when they’re competed.
