Just Data Cube

,

Created for the second Data for Black Lives conference, the Just Data Cube invited participants to imagine more just uses of data, and a data ecosystem focused equity and justice.  The provocation was: how do we get there? On the interior of the cube participants wrote commitments to themselves to get us there. But it isn’t just up to us, there are governments, companies, and other organizations that have significant power in the data society we live in. The exterior of the cube let participants write their demands of those folks.

The 7-foot cube stood for the 3-day event, constructed with wood and paint.
