Twenty-six 3rd-6th graders at temple Shalom in Newton have an opportunity to design and build a mosaic to decorate the stairwell in the Temple building. They’ve been developing ideas inspired by the sanctuary’s stained glass windows, the other decorative objects in the Temple and their experience of religion. Yesterday they began to piece together their images. Here are some pictures of the word webs that we used to generate ideas and of the progress they’ve made on their designs:
