Connection Lab is leading community members in constructing a peace quilt to hang in the entryway of the Cross Street Center in East Somerville. With Teen Empowerment, the Council on Aging, and East Somerville Main Streets, neighbors of all ages will help to make pieces of the quilt over the spring and summer. The first two design sessions were this week, the first at Teen Empowerment’s annual Peace Conference on Saturday,
and the second today at the Council on Aging.
More to come! The project will be part of East Somerville Main Streets’ cultural block parties in June and July. Special thanks to the Beautiful Stuff Project for donating much of the fabric that we’ve been using!
