How can we represent water through mosaics? This workshop series explored a variety of ways to represent water using traditional and not-so-traditional mosaic techniques. Through color, texture, andamento, suggestive materials, and the play of light, students made glass mosaics on clear and opaque substrates to explore the theme of water. The projects were wonderfully varied, and students learned from each other’s experiences as they faced and overcame challenges. Take a look at some of the class’ creative projects.
