At a Somerstreets festival back in September Connection Lab and the Beautiful Stuff Project hosted a collaborative mosaic table that was also part of the Reggio Emilia Wonder of Learning event’s calendar. We set up three wooden drawers and mosaic tiles as an invitation for people to stop, add a piece, and together craft three important words that inspire our work; Invent, Create and Learn. The words started good conversations, and the tiling created a safe space and an absorbing activity for many kids and adults. The signs are finally grouted and displayed in The Beautiful Stuff Project’s new space on Medford Street in Somerville.
