The hackathon and the accompanying policy summit were amazing.  The work that went into thinking about the event’s values, participants, setting and content paint off tremendously, and it seemed to me that everyone left feeling empowered and part of a caring positive community.  Some amazing ideas and projects were birthed at the event or moved forward during the weekend, and those should be featured over time on the hackathon website. The Photovoice exhibition will very likely be traveling with the rest of the 2-D artwork from the event to the Cambridge Women’s Center, and after that I will be looking for more places to display the collection. It generating great conversations, provided a glimpse into the struggles associated with pumping, and gave more faces and names to the realities of what might otherwise seem like unusual stories.  Again, thank you to the wonderful and brave women who shared their photos and stories.
