This month’s Massachusetts Department of Mental Health newsletter includes a short article about the series of focus groups with culturally diverse communities that Connection Lab has been running with the Greater Boston Suicide Prevention Coalition. The article is just a teaser, but should help to remind practitioners and policymakers across the Commonwealth of the importance of considering cultural diversity in service design and delivery.
Check out the article in the DMH newsletter and the report of last year’s focus group findings on the Greater Boston Coalition for Suicide Prevention web page. Information about beliefs and culturally-informed care for additional communities should be available in June as we complete and compile findings from a second set of focus groups.
