In working with the Greater Boston Suicide Prevention Coalition it was clear that the group is full of motivated, dedicated and skillful professionals. And yet it wasn’t exactly clear how all of their good work could come together to produce measurable outcomes. This is one of the most challenging aspects of coalition work. Without a programmatic mandate, it’s possible to focus so heavily on strengthening collaborations and expanding the group that an opportunity is missed to work together toward common goals that might not be possible for each organization independently.
Connection lab helped the coalition develop a logic model to articulate the group’s goals, define outcomes and figure out how each of the coalition’s activities will contribute to the outcomes.
