The Kennedy School playground just got a face-lift, and includes a series of new planting beds. With Support from the Somerville Arts Council, the Kennedy after-school program will be working with Connection Lab for 10 weeks to design and make mosaics to install on the sides of the beds. We began this week with an introduction to mosaic and a little bit of practice with paper tiles. Here’s a picture of the fun that one group of students had figuring out how to make curves out of squares.
