I have been on what seems like a never-ending quest to figure out how to calculate how many glass tiles I’ll need for different projects.  So, for those of you who are also struggling to find this information online, here’s one piece of the puzzle: one pound of 3/4 inch square glass tiles will cover about 2/3 of a square foot of space.  So your square footage times 1.5 should give you roughly the number of pounds you’ll need.  It leaves you a little bit of wiggle room for broken pieces or scrap from cutting tiles down.  Check out my super scientific test using a kitchen scale and a tape measure.
