Art projects are a great way to encourage conversation. At Tuesday’s conversation group for English Language learners at the Council on Aging we came together to design and piece together a mosaic table. The group decided that as the cold snowy winter continues, we should make something that reminds us of spring. An hour later we had turned broken plates into flowers and hearts to signify the beginning of spring. Next week we’ll grout the table that we made together and each person will make a small suncatcher to bring home with them. Perhaps we can use them to tempt the sun and the warm weather back to our neck of the woods!
