Last night Connection lab led an art activity for 100 women at Coleman House, a senior housing facility. Residents of the building worked with CJP’s Women’s Philanthropy to create four panels that represent the seasons and passage through the generations. While some participants claimed to have no artistic ability, everyone did a wonderful job and we had a few super-star residents who were accomplished artists. Each person cut and painted fabric sections of the design, and by the end of the evening we were able to lay out the sections to see what the final design will look like. Once the fabric is sewn together and wrapped around canvases, the panels will be ready to hang at Coleman House for all of the residents to enjoy.
