Somerville’s urban agriculture blog wrote a great piece about the South Street Farm data mural. Check it out here. It’s nice to see people excited about the mural, and it’s especially nice to have the city recognize it.
Unfortunately the locations we had in mind for the Food Security mural fell through, but we have anther promising location on Washington Street. We’ll see if we can get it painted before the winter sets in!
The Head Start mural is just about finished and it looks great! It now includes a variety of examples of exercise, references to healthy eating, and even a figure planting herbs and vegetables at home. We’re planning a ribbon cutting for mid-October, which will also be a chance to gather feedback from participants and from staff and parents who will see it for the first time in the fall. (Chris finally added himself to the mural- see below!)
